Supercharged Science

Welcome, Supercharged Science Families!

This page contains important kit and date information for the two courses
Brian will be teaching every other week with Supercharged Science during the 2025–2026 school year.

You can order kits anytime during the year, but the deadline to order kits
and receive them in time for the “Getting Organized” classes is August 1, 2025.

During the summer months, our kits are assembled and shipped in batches.
We recommend ordering early and the first batch of kits will ship July 1, 2025

Below are the class names and required kits for the 2025 – 2026 school year.
This short six minute video explains the class schedule and discusses which kits you should purchase.

Course Name: Electronics with Brian (Unit 25)
FutureVision Research Kit: Electronics Essentials
Note: This is the same electronics kit as the 2024-25 school year. If you attended that class, you already have the supplies needed. No new supplies are needed for the 2025-25 Electronics class.
Getting Organized Class: Monday, September 8, 2025 @ 8:00 Pacific
First Day of Regular Class: Monday, September 22, 2025 @ 8:00 Pacific
Class discussion occurs after regular class on the second day.

Course Name: Coding Arduino C++ with Brian (Unit 28)
FutureVision Research Kit: Sensors, Motors, and More – Version 3
Additional Required Items: Arduino Uno R3, USB cable, and a Windows, Apple, or Linux computer
Getting Organized Class: Wednesday, September 10, 2025 @ 8:00 Pacific
First Day of Regular Class: Monday, September 24, 2025 @ 8:00 Pacific

Class discussion occurs after regular class on the second day.

Note: This is almost the same kit as the one used in previous Coding classes.
– If you took Coding MicroPython, you’ll only need to order Sensors, Motors, and More Version 2 Supplement
– If you didn’t take that class, you’ll most likely need to order Sensors, Motors, and More Version 1 Supplement and Version 2 Supplement
Click here to email Brian and he’ll be happy to help you help you figure which which supplies you need to obtain.

If you are a brand new student, and want to take both classes,
you’ll need both Electronics Essentials and Sensors, Motors, and More V3 (plus the Arduino Uno R3 and USB cable).
