Welcome, Supercharged Science Families!

This page contains important kit and date information for the two courses
Brian will be teaching every other week with Supercharged Science during the 2026–2027 school year.

You can order kits at any time throughout the school year.

However, the deadline to order kits and have them
in time for the actual first day of class is September 21, 2026.

Please feel free to join the “Getting Organized” class, even if you don’t have your supplies yet.

More about kit deadlines:

If you order kits after September 21, 2026, we will still process your order right away and ship your kits as soon as possible. However, your supplies may arrive after the first week of classes (November 2 through 5, 2026).

If you do not have your kits by the first day of class, you are still welcome to participate. You can complete the activities later by watching the class recordings once your supplies arrive.

Below are the class names and required kits for the 2026 – 2027 school year.

 

 

Brian will be teaching two days of electronics and two days of coding every other week.
Electronics with Brian occurs on Monday and Tuesday. Coding with Brian occurs on Wednesday and Thursday.

Course Name: Electronics with Brian (Unit 25)
FutureVision Research Kit: Electronics Essentials
Note: This class starts from the beginning each year. If you took this class during the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 school years, you already have the supplies you need.
Getting Organized Class: Monday, October 19, 2026 @ 8:00 Pacific
First Day of Regular Class: Monday, November 2, 2026 @ 8:00 Pacific
Class discussion occurs after regular class on the second day.

Course Name: Coding MicroPython with Brian (Unit 29)
FutureVision Research Kit: Sensors, Motors, and More – Version 3
Additional Required Items: Raspberry Pi Pico RP2040, USB cable, and a Windows, Apple, or Linux computer
Getting Organized Class: Wednesday, October 21, 2026 @ 8:00 Pacific
First Day of Regular Class: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 @ 8:00 Pacific

Class discussion occurs after regular class on the second day.

If you are a brand-new student and want to take both classes,
you’ll need both Electronics Essentials and Sensors, Motors, and More V3
(plus the Raspberry Pi Pico RP2040 and USB cable).
